Magazine Covers

I wanted to try and make a magazine cover. I wasn't so sure I knew what I was capable of but I think it turned out cute! I think I'll be offering these in the future. ;)

School photos that never was . . .

I started taking Schyler's school photos myself last year. That was the plan this year but I got so busy in the Fall with other sessions we really never got to do much. We actually tried out a few different locations to practice, but I never really decided on what I liked for a school photo.

I have much bigger fish to fry right now, I guess. My monitor blew up after I had it all nice and calibrated. So I took my sister's which was the same as mine and it's really got some issues. I've recalibrated it twice and I still see GREEN! Now that I got these photos loaded on here they're looking mighty green too. I guess I'll have to put a new monitor on my wish list now, but I think it's going to be a little too late!

This was just Schyler helping me test out this spot for a client that was coming in a few minutes. I love the leading lines and texture in this stone.
After the shoot with "A", Schyler requested I take some of her in the this grass.

I like the bold red for a background in these.
For some reason I really like this shot but certainly won't do for a school photo.
You can see the fear in these, because she was afraid she would fall under the bar.

We got a lot of exercise during this session with "D"! - sneak peak

This lil' guy was so funny! He was everywhere. Mom said he would be my challenge LOL! Good thing I had Schyler with me she was very helpful keeping his attention. He is a typical energetic boy who LOVES Thomas the Train. So it would only be right that he had Thomas the Train in most of his photos, well until the lollipop came out that is.

Sweet "A". . .sneak peak

OMG we froze during this session! It seemed warm when we first got there but once we got started . . . well it was COLD! The poor thing was shivering. "A" is such a sweet, adorable girl. I LOVED her big brown eyes. I would love to shoot her again. . .maybe in the Spring when it's warm and we can both be comfortable. LOL!

MM Pop Warner Colts Tribute . . .

I was asked during pop warner sign-ups if I would be interested in being the organizations "photographer" this year. I was up for the challenge and really, really enjoyed doing this. It helps when you love sports too! There are 3 football teams and 3 cheerleading squads. Thank you to the organization, the parents, the coaches and most of all the players for giving me this great opportunity and have me do what I love.
Each year the high school has homecoming and invites pop warner to participate in the "Sea of Blue".

I was watching this little one during the National Anthem and I could not help myself but take her picture. She is a little sweetheart anyway. I kept watching her and I could tell she was in aw with the mascot. I just had to get a shot of it even during the National Anthem. I did keep one hand on my heart the whole time ;) So stinkin' cute!

The cheerleaders had a successful year at competition. MM Colts received the spirit trophy. Plus the Jr. Midgets squad advanced for the FIRST time and went on to compete in Rochester. Unfortunately they were only taking 2 squads out of the 6 and they came in 3rd.

Beautiful "A" - Sneak Peak!

I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful young girl, can you believe she's only 13? I wish we had better weather conditions and more daylight. I could have photographed her all day long! The poor thing was freezing in her ballet outfit. It was really cold and windy, then it started sprinkling at the end of the session. She was a real trooper!

I have quite a few more to get through but here's a sneak peak:

These were fun to shoot. I had "A" do this probably 10 times just to make sure to get some good ones ;) Let's just say she got her practice in for the day.

Lil "D" - Sneak Peak

Lil "D" was so fun, not to mention a little cutie! He loved to run around in the back yard which was good for me because I was able to get a lot of different shots. I loved his outfits too, that also makes it easy for me LOL! So here are a few sneak peaks and there are many, many more to come.
